Our Mission
The mission of Franciscan Living Communities, a Catholic elder care organization sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, is to provide comprehensive and spiritually enriching senior services through its member organizations.
Franciscan Living Communities provides consultation, support, and oversight to its member entities through effective leadership and organizational values.
Franciscan Living Communities will seek out and pursue opportunities for growth of the sponsorship presence of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio.
Our Philosophy
Franciscan Living Communities is a Catholic, not-for-profit elder care organization sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, and governed by a board of trustees.
As a member of Franciscan Services Corporation, Franciscan Living Communities believes in the philosophy of improving the quality of life of those we serve by providing care in a professional and Christian manner, keeping in mind the values of Reverence, Service, and Stewardship.
By Reverence, we believe that each person is created equal in God’s image and likeness. Thus we treat each person with respect, justice, and dignity.
By Service, we believe that each person is called to achieve full potential of mind, body and spirit. To enable the fulfillment of that potential, we pledge to render service to all with sensitivity, compassion, and commitment.
By Stewardship, we believe that each person shares responsibility to fulfill their specific role and to promote the proper utilization of the environment, of goods and services. This enables us to maintain quality relationships and care in our ministry.
